IASCNAPA MISSION STATEMENT: IASCNAPA recognizes its
responsibility to maintain high standards in the provision of quality
and accessible health care services for individuals with sickle cell
disease. IASCNAPA is committed to strengthening the relationship
between nurses and physician assistants that care for patients with
sickle cell disease. The nurse and physician assistant make significant
contributions that further the depth of knowledge about sickle cell
disease. Our cooperative efforts allow us to play vital roles
in clinical research as demonstrated by our participation in the National
Institutes of Health studies that have defined the natural history of
sickle cell disease and proven the efficacy of prophylactic penicillin
in children with the disease. |
