IASCNAPA VIRTUAL SICKLE CELL NURSING CONGRESS 2024

This is a virtual conference.  It is an educational conference focusing on promoting health equity and exploring the social determinants of health that affect people with sickle cell disease.  Speakers will discuss systemic racism in the healthcare system and the responsibility of nurses and healthcare professionals to  advocate for people with sickle cell disease. Speakers will share resources to help healthcare professionals provide optimal care to people with sickle cell disease. Sickle cell warriors will discuss the impact of social determinants on their disease and resilence strategies.  The objective of the conference is to raise awareness of health disparities for individuals with sickle cell disease and provide resources to help improve practice.
